About the Skills for Growth programme
The Skills for Growth programme helps small businesses invest in building a highly skilled workforce through staff training and upskilling, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement that enhances company performance and competitiveness.
What are the benefits of the Skills for Growth programme?
Funding is provided for training costs (up to a maximum of 50% of eligible costs) which are not mandatory, and which are aimed at increasing productivity and improving international competitiveness. Repeat training and routine training are also excluded as additionality cannot be determined.
Eligible costs for Skills for Growth are:
- Worker wages (for time spent on eligible training activities)
- Internal trainer costs
- External trainer costs
- Travel and accommodation costs linked directly to training activities
- Material costs linked specifically to training activities
