Four companies took part in a cluster mission to South Korea and Japan from Monday 18 - Sunday 24 March 2024 to showcase their expertise in areas such as cyber security, smart mobility, smart buildings, energy and health.

Northern Ireland’s smart city tech companies are helping to build smart cities of the future, developing and implementing cutting-edge smart city innovations and solutions for customers all over the globe.

Meet the companies that attended

  • ANGOKA is a Smart Mobility and Smart Cities security company headquartered in Belfast with offices in London and The Hague. ANGOKA ensures the safety and resilience of machine-to machine (M2M) communications. ANGOKA’s embedded technology creates trust between devices to allow them to communicate securely over untrusted networks, providing security for their users regardless of the network they use.

  • Established in 2005, family owned CIGA Healthcare Ltd has grown rapidly over the years. Based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, they now supply a wide range of over the counter & professional tests to independent pharmacies, pharmacy wholesalers & healthcare retailers. In 2012 the US subsidiary CIGA Healthcare LLC was opened as part of expansion into the American market. CIGA’s own brand Suresign includes a broad range of self-diagnostic medical tests. They are a preferred supplier to the UK National Health Service (NHS), Health Services Executive (HSE Ireland) & partners with several of the main retailers in the UK

  • EOS is a global, family-run technology and logistics company serving industry leaders in 195 countries. They offer AV + Collab, Managed Services, Networking + Security, VAR Supply Chain, and Smart Workspace Solutions. Their priorities are innovation, customer satisfaction, and superior service quality, ensuring global simplicity and trusted transparency.

  • Skylark is a digital operational control software platform that enables owners and operators of wind farms to track and manage workers more safely and effectively. Site-based personnel use their mobile app to complete inductions, check-on and off site and receive work orders, greatly reducing the administrative burden on operational control rooms.
